HERE'S THE SCOOP
Liisa Lee was raised in Orlando and Sarasota Florida, and New York City. She grew up backstage in Broadway and National
theatres watching her sister Aimee from the wings. Liisa began dancing at a very early age (her mother was also a professional
ballet dancer with the original company of the New York City Ballet) and was summering in New York City or professional dance
camps in the Berkshires by the age of 8. She was accepted to SAB and then changed plans to study at the Joffery Ballet School.
She was accepted to the National Academy of Arts for high school and then at The Professional Children's School in New York
City. Friends and classmates at PCS included Ricki Lake, and Anthony Michael Hall, Ilan Mitchell Smith and Christian Slater(We'd
get into it, debating in English class). She was an apprentice with The American Dance Machine and also studied at Alvin Ailey
and Stepps. Her first Equity performance was in the National Tour of West Side Story at age 15, starring Rex Smith.
She has performed across the USA as well as Canada in national tours, regional theatre, films, commercials, music videos in
Nashville, and has been the international voice of Schwepps. She is now living in L.A., persuing her career in film and television.
Liisa currently studies with Richard Lawson at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and is very happy to be taking dance classes with
Jaime Rogers. Liisa is also an avid cook and dedicated, passionate foodie. She was taught by her fabulous master of
the grille father, killer key lime pie making mother, gracious Southern women, and one Southern scamp. For this Liisa gives
special thanks to Mimi Claverie, Maumus, and Barbara Duke. She has been the devious culprit of Thanksgiving dinners for 28
- and pancake breakfasts for 99. Liisa has been an equestrian since she was a child (good ol' Blondy, rest in peace)and
currently is the proud momma of a National Show Horse, and an Arabian colt. (Like you haven't noticed the brag photos...)Both
she and her mare have shown off their equine skills on the big screen, and she hopes that baby is on his way as well.
Liisa is also a licensed Esthetician and is the Owner of Skin Beauty Bar in Studio City, CA. Skin Beauty Bar
-"The World's Smallest Destination Spa" opened in October of 2006 and has been getting rave reviews from clients and guests.
