Here is my little corner to show off my trinkets, treasures and prized possesions....in a little world we call....... ........ Dragon Realms............ I've been around for many moons and have designed- as I have come to realize as I began to gather them all up.. a Slew 'o alterations and designs in game... so .... come on in and get a gander....have a libation.. set a spell.... and enjoy... (all these are my designs.. I give credit to the GM where I can, and if indicated, credit to others who collaborated with me on those specific items) You walk through the carved willow door of a cozy thatch roofed cottage with a weeping willow arching over the roof and see... [Lilly's cottage, Parlor] Open windows catch errant breezes that waft the scent of gardenias from the kitchen garden through this cozy cottage that. The rich armoa of chocolate truffles mingles enticingly with the floral breeze, inviting you to stay a spell. Clothing and ladies accoutrements spill daintily out of a carved ash wardrobe and peek from a large polished burlwood dresser. A thick bone-wolf pelt the color of dappled moonlight covers a varnished honeypine floor surrounded by an overstuffed striped-silk chaise and a small side table that holds a crystal vase of white roses and nightshade blossoms, and a silver tray bearing a frosty pitcher of lemonade and ornately iced petit fours. You also see an ebonwood table with a plate of half eaten cookies, a beribboned pewter tankard and a large leather-bound tome labeled, "Lilly's Designs" on it, a large pie safe with some stuff on it and a large Endrus Forest cat who peers intelligently at you with large emerald eyes.
~~~LILLYBELLE'S CLOSET: a living pannier woven from brightly colored wildflowers and hung with tiny faceted fairy charms >Look: Blossoms and ferns mingle in an explosion of color as roses chase lilies and sunflowers cross bluebells. The verdant basket gives off a glorious fragrance and, upon its lid, tiny blue-topaz and emerald fairies twinkle, peeking out from among the buds. There appears to be something written on it. A flowered pannier reads: ~~FIRST PLACE~~ Andreshlew Garden Club *****. This was from Feast of Eluned , or Fish Fest as we like to call it.... we all had to have a story about our alterations..so it became a VERY fun story telling contest as well as an alteration event. What Fun!! If I can find the GM's name who did it I'll gladly post it. a jaunty Thespian's touring satchel hung with miniature silver portrait charms >look sat Crafted from an old stage curtain and patched with a motley assortment of sequins and frills, this spacious bag tells the story of grand performances and dusty tours. It carries the distinctive aroma of greasepaint and perfumes. Bright souvenir patches from exotic locales compete for space and a collection of miniature portrait charms hang from bits of chain and ribbon. One charm is particularly ornate with a large scrollwork "B" and an autographed "XOX. *** Thank you Maddy! a gloriously splattered baking pouch with a cleverly designed loop holding a very large sinister spoon >look: Colorful explosions of icing, batter and pie filling make this a dubious work of art, yet despite its messy appearance, the pouch is well organized for rapid efficiency. A specially crafted loop with a silver tart-shaped buckle keeps a huge dented and darkened spoon close at hand, most likely to swat urchin hands and hungry familiars away from freshly baked pies. There appears to be something written on it. A splattered baking pouch reads: "~~ Mentor Society Bake Sale Volunteer~~" some elegantly polished silver chain set with an amethyst lily >look: Proudly augmenting the chest of the elegant chainmail lies a glorious star gazer lily in full bloom. Each link is set with exquisite amethysts of tiny proportions and varying hues and together they form the glittering flower. On the left sleeve the gems pick out a small heart surrounding a silver filigree letter "L". ** Thank you Maddy!! a tattered broom of gnarled oak hung with weathered ribbons and bells >look: Crafted of ancient wood from the Forest of Night, the broom is adorned with weathered charms and tiny gem colored bells that chime eerily when shaken. In the green leaves of the deepest burl, a minature acorn lantern reveals a well appointed flower sprite nest. A spot just big enough for an Elothean maiden to perch, is worn smooth along the center of the handle. an Elven cloak covered with iridescent butterfly wings >look: The richly-hued cloak is covered with delicate butterfly wings the color of a moonlit summer forest carefully sewn with spidersilk thread. The fragile wings glimmer and flutter in gentle waves with the slightest breath of wind. The silver butterfly clasp is dappled with tiny moonstones and has an inscription which reads, "Happily Even After". **** Here's the story of this ..... MANY years ago.. I bid on a wedding slot and they asked to put the alteration you wanted in the bid.... silly me,.. I didn't get it..(we can't make that.. yadda yadda - outbid as well) but during an assist a few months later (weeks?) the GM I'm looking at is WEARING a cloak made of butterlfies! Now this cloak is from a beautiful fairy tale that not many people have heard, called The Dragon's Daughter. (nothing to do with DR ironicaly) I know the author and have heard him tell it. Needless to say.. I was quite amazed.....I told the GMs what this cloak means and where it comes from,  and I GOT my cloak......still wish it was pocketed and was the full descrip I wanted... ah well.  a polished platinum badge with the words "You want to know how to do what?" gracefully inscribed on it *** This lil quip I said at one of the Mentor events and there were some badges being handed out.. the GM and some folks thought it was so fun, they made this one just for me.....:::beam:::: an opulent raised snaffle bridle dappled with winter-hued gems and long silver reins >look: Reminiscent of a night sky, brilliant cushion-cut sapphires and pale cabochon moonstones the color of winter's first snow, glimmer, and twinkle elegantly across the polished brow band of the bridle. Long reins of supple leather are chased with luminous silver scrollwork and strewn with more diminutive gems making this quite a showpiece, and yet still supple enough for precise control. A small round tag at the throat latch is engraved with the name "Cameo" ***Thank you Maddy!! an artfully crafted pin of silver and gemstones depicting a fae gathering . >look: Ornate silver cast willows surround a band of jaunty players amid a verdant forest glen. Tiny fae with brilliant gemstone wings perch atop flower blossoms, acorns and toadstools as they play merrily upon miniature instruments of gold. An emerald eyed nyad plays a wren-shaped harp, a tall pale alfar holds a phoenix-engraved flute, and a sprite with flashing eyes and an acorn cap dances madly on a heron-painted drum. There appears to be something written on it. A silver pin reads: "Alyden Andu 363 - Oh, Faenella hear my plea! Bring the magic of adventure to me! Keep me safe yet let me roam, the music in my blood take me home!" ***** this was part of the a collection that 'he who shall not be named' (wyett) and I created.. it was a wonderful idea but no one wanted to waste time getting ranks for this instead of circling... so it lost interest.....but they were all gorgeous pins that went on a handsome sash..... an assortment of laquered chocolate truffles topped with candied violets Look: Each confection is a different mouthwatering shade, from the milkiest ivory to the deepest cocoa. Despite that the candies are coated thickly with varnish, one of them bears a telltale bite mark. a flowing mist-blue velvet riding cloak dappled with diamonds and sea pearls Look: Rich embroidery depicts cresting waves upon a bright sunlit sea. Each wave is splashed with pearl sea foam and diamond spray, while tear-shaped diamonds hang from the tips of each crest and adorn the large sea pearl clasp. an off-the-shoulder mist white spidersilk gown with intricate moonstone fretting Look: The folds of lilac scented silk deepen to the color of evening mist and shimmer and whisper with every movement. The moonstones cascading down the skirts refract available light, simulating thier own inner glow. ~~~BRIIANNA'S CLOSET: .......her wedding trouseau.... ( I have to say this.. this trouseau was one of the most gut wrenching things I 've been through in game.. one wonderful GM started these designs and then two others stepped in and butchered things mid way through...I had to fight tooth and nail for every inch I got... I really hope that weddings and Wedding GM coordinators have gotten much more professional, gracious and diplomatic since then.) a sweeping ocean-blue watered silk gown with a pale ivory train set with sapphires. LOOK: Designed to hug the wearer's figure from the low neckline to the dropped-waist, the elegant gown sweeps out to fall from the hips in billowing folds. Tiny sapphires lace the cascading ivory train, shimmering like waves on a moonlit sea. The lingering scent of honeysuckle clings to the fabric. There appears to be something written on it. An ocean-blue watered silk gown reads: "Designed by Briianna and Afi." a bouquet of pure white roses nestled among wisteria and nightshade blossoms LOOK: Fragrant honeysuckle blossoms are tucked here and there amidst the other flowers. The stark whiteness of the roses stands out against the deeper hues of the other blossoms. Ocean-blue ribbons edged with tiny seed pearls twine among the blossoms before streaming down in a softly curling cascade. some sea-blue velvet thigh boots with moonstone and sapphire clasps >look: The clasps have been crafted to form a circle of intertwining moonstone gardenias and sapphire nightshade blossoms. Careful carving by the bootmaker has given the velvet a textured surface, giving an illusion of rolling waves on a moonlit sea. a dove-white nightsilk ceremonial robe with an amethyst and sapphire clasp >look: The rich fabric, cinched at the waist with an amethyst silk cord, is cut to fall in sweeping folds to the floor. The garment is fastened at one shoulder with a silver clasp set with miniature amethyst and sapphire nightshade blossoms, and a sachet sewn behind the label gives off an alluring fragrance of that same blossom. Embroidered in elaborate swirling letters around the hem are the words "Acquiesce, for ye must be strong to be weak." a delicate corsage of tiny white rosebuds and deep blue nightshade blossoms on a bed of cinnamon ferns an elegant silver mermaid brooch set with pearls and gemstones >look: Exquisitely carved in lifelike detail, an enchanting mermaid sits upon a sea shell throne braiding dainty seed pearls into her long hair. Diamond-crested waves splash her long faceted blue topaz tail, while jeweled sirese blossoms are draped around her neck. a dove-white watered silk garter trimmed with Elothean lace and sapphire dolphin charms >look: Leaping dolphins sparkle and gleam, suspended within the rich spray of fine heirloom lace. A tiny tag on the inside of the garter bears an embroidered inscription. There appears to be something written on it. A dove-white watered silk garter reads: "Idora, my friend, my love, my family. Maid of Honor and always in my heart. Thank you, Briianna and x." a filigree platinum diadem set with sparkling diamonds and twilight-hued sapphires >look: Diamonds dewdrops twinkle and dance in the light, suspended from the platinum filigree band. Glints of light play in the deep blue depths of the cushion-cut sapphires, sparkling like the moon on the Reshalian sea. a platinum wedding band set with twilight-hued sapphires surrounding a grand diamond >look: Elegant scrollwork carved to resemble a series of cresting waves surrounds the band. Brilliant Twilight-hued sapphires sparkle amidst the waves, and the crowning glory of the ring is a cushion-cut diamond. The surface of the gem appears to shimmer when light dances through the facets of the diamond, as if twinkling with love and laughter. There appears to be something written on it. (unfinished) ~~~~~~ For My pal Afira... made 6-25-01 a delicate gold clasp inset with a gemstone mosaic Look:: Diamonds, rubies, emerlads and a variety of other gemstones come together to form a depiction of a harried-looking S'kra Mur woman busily darwing on a disarrayed stack of papers. A unicorn gazes over the confusion, a woefull expresion on hsi face. A sign above the woman read, " Afira's Designs. Fluff, it's not just what's for dinner, it's a way of Life." ~~~ For My pal Kobrakhan 5-07-01 a shadowy leather greatcloak with gleaming panther fang clasps LOOK:: Stylish yet practical, the greatcoat is a perfect tool for one of the stealthy trade. The serated edges of the fangs gleam fiercly in even ambient light. and the rich scent of exotic oils exudes from the finely worked leatehr of the coat. Burned into the leather are the words , " Fear not the unknown, Fear Me." ( I am surprised I didn't catch the redundancy- but neither did the GM ... and Koby originally wanted a - Custom fitted Prowler's longcoat...which I still think is a MUCH better idea) ~~~~Briianna's wedding party items:::: GROOM: a deeply cowled raw-silk monk's robe richly embroidered with sigils of the thirteen. LOOK::: The light aspects of each of the thirteen Gods are brilliantly detailed and intertwined with soft gardenia petals. The robe's pure quality and and simple craftsmanship speak of a life of Piety and service. Elaborately worked in ancient S'kra Mur sigils is the word "x" some pure white hunting boots with brushed silver spurs etched with holy sigils LOOK::: The gallant thigh boots are of excellent crafstmanship and the spurs have been deeply etched with the holy sigils of the thirteen immortals entwined with gardenias and nightshade. The rich silver gleams handsomely when struck by light. a sweeping cloak of pure white spidersilk embroidered with shimmering storm grey clouds. LOOK::: Emboidered on the back is the image of a graceful blonde Priestess and a pure white unicorn, facing each other across a dusky forest glade. Thier eyes shine with loving mischief. READ:: Constance, Dedication, Love. a simple platinum locket enameled with nightshade and gardenias. LOOK:: The locket contains a delicate ivory miniature painted with the image of a slender Elothian womanwith blue eyes and long honey-colored hair, reposing peacefully in a moonlit forest glade. Gentle moonbeams shimmer in her hair and a loving warmth plays in her eyes. Her lips are curved with a mischevious, beckoning smile. The name, "Briianna" has been painted at the bottom of the miniature, and an inscription has been painted inside the cover of the locket. (didn't get made- changed to cloak below) a scorched sapphire bat-wing clasp bearing the crest of the Moon Mage Guild LOOK: Darkly gimmering outstretched bat wings are crafted in life-like detail and heavily blackened from one too many close casts. READ: Air Ajaccia. "We Go There." Best Mage for Briianna and x. ~~ Best Mage cloak: A black hooded cloak with delicate traceries of constellations and Elanthian moons. LOOK: Shimmering sliver threads depict a sweeping night sky over a moonlit ocean. The fine craftsmanship picks out the Elanthian Heavens in exquisite detail, revealing the mysteries of the stars. ~~Wedding Bard... A scarlet watersilk garter festively hung with tiny silver spoons LOOK: The delicate garter has been crafter to enhance any thigh it graces. With each step the tiny crafted spoons chime sweetly, making music on the air. READ: To Tahna. Here's to making magical Music. Thank you and we love you. Briianna and x. ~~Ring Bearer... A sweeping pure white cloak with a nightshade blossom tucked in the sliver clasp. LOOK: The deep rich folds of the cloak have been created to flow handsomely with each stride the wearer takes. Embroidered into the collar are twin silver rings. The blossom in the clasp gives the impression of a token of rememberance from a special day. ~~ Bride's toes... A delicate silver toe-ring set with shimmering sapphire sirese blossoms. LOOK: Exquisitely detailed, the deep blue sapphires reflect the faintest light and and seem to wink almost playfully. ~~ Cleric... a white silk wedding cassock embroidered with sirese blossoms and silver foot brushes. LOOK: Deep blue sirese blossoms are intricately embroidered around different kinds of silver foot brushes. The collar has beem chewed a bit, and a red stain shows through faintly from an inside pocket that is suspiciously in the shape of a tart. READ: To: Gabela: May the ale flow, the tarts be plentiful and your feet always be tangle free...Love, x and Briianna. ~~ Bride's slippers... (never got made) some fuzzy white angora bunny slippers. The angora puffs out to make the feet appear twice thier size while one ear droops coyly lower tha nthe other and touches a scuffed pearl nose. With each movement of the slippers the ears flop up and down to reveal twinkling sapphire eyes.
